Yes; Schottenheimer does what he does all of the time; his teams cant' hold leads because he gets conservative and hopes not to lose.

The worst call I've seen in years is him challenging the fumble in the fourth quarter. It wasn't even close; of course it's a fumble. He does it anyway and loses a timeout. How dumb is that. It lost them 30-45 sec which would have allowed them to get closer for the last field goal.

Schottenheimer is a fool in the clutch.

The wasted time out is on Marty and so is the fact that he should have gone for the two pt conversion on there last touch down. Otherwise the players stupid penalties and mistakes cost them the game. San Diego gave that game away.

Yes. Schottenheimer always chokes in the playoffs, the fumble challenge being the perfect example. Plus, he didn't get it done even when he had Joe Montana.

I agree with Bilbo on this one. Stupid mistakes and penalties cost the Chargers this game. It wasn't Marty out there dropping balls or fumbling punt returns. Marty called a good game, but the players were the ones who couldn't pull this one off.

Yes,if he hadn't made the stupid challenge on the fumbled interception,he would have had an extra time out to work with on the final drive. He will never, ever win a big game.

Not sure. They were on the absolute verge of winning it, about to take control with the Pats down 8 with just over 6 mins remaining.

Then Troy Brown stuck out his arm....

yeah, he wasted that timeout by throwing the red flag on what was clearly a fumble by the Chargers. The Chargers needed that timeout on their final drive.
