My sister also lives in your area, and I have recommended contacting the local Cooperative Extension in your area. Hopefully they have them in Georgia! They are local growers and landscape professionals who will give advice to anyone who calls.

Early spring in your area would be the best time to plant. I know you don't really get frost, but some nights it can get rather cold and you do not want to plant anything until all danger of frost has passed. NEVER plant in the middle of summer...you will be watering it all day to keep it from scorching in the Georgia sun!

Early spring...its best to plant once the oppressive summer heat is over, very early fall, when the nights are beginning to cool down
