it can fall out at any time. Im 38 weeks pregnant too, and still waiting for mine to come out. Dr says it may never come out..except during labour

Mine never fell out. I have a friend who lost her plug and didn't deliver until 2 weeks later. Everyone's different. It's important to remember the plug does not necessarily mean labor is coming that day, or even that week.

It's different for everyone. I never noticed any mucus plug fall out of me, but I did have quite weird discharge until the end. Sort of like boogers. Hate to be graphic and give too much information, but just letting you know!

it could happen anytime from a couple of weeks before the birth to minutes before the birth which happened to me but when it comes out u will know. Take care and good luck. xx

it could happen anytime--a friend of mine had hers fall out on Thanksgiving--and she still hasnt had her baby, lol
mine just plopped out on Friday, my due date isnt until the 23rd but as of this past Thurs. Im already 3-4 cm and 60% thinned-my doc said she's coming any day now.
you will definately know it if it all comes out at once--I near puked-there was just gobs and gobs of it (sorry-tmi!!)

With my first I didn't lose my plug until a couple of hours after my water had broken.

It depends...for some it comes out when their water breaks others in the hospital right before labor and other sometimes day(s) before labor

it all depends on your body it is different for every women. ther is no way to tell, just like you can't tell when you will be going into labor. mine started to come out two weeks before i went into labor (started to come out around week 25 i delivered around 37) my sister i think started to lose her two weeks proir as weel, if that helps

It's different timing for each pregnancy but when it comes, you will know.
