He sure does
He is much better than many other centers in the league and it isnt that the franchise got no brain, if he's that bad, he would be long gone

No.
Up until about a week, having had to increase his role with the injury to Yao Ming, Mutumbo (according to an ESPN podcast interview with Jeff Van Gundy) had played less than 400 minutes. Even with the increase in playing time, he is still averaging less than 15 minutes a game (take into consideration that he is playing quite a bit more now - but much less earlier in the season).
Additionally, Mutombo really, really takes care of himself. Like Roger Clemens in baseball, he is the exception, not the rule.
You won't see an increase of guys in their late 30s/40s.

No because eventually it will over come him....however he does prove that if you work hard and keep your body in great shape, you can stretch the "age limit" a little more than people thought

Maybe if he is playing in the NBA at 60, I'll consider him proof of that fact. However, until then I will give him credit for playing very well at his age, but it's not like 40 is THAT old.

Does anyone know how old Deke realy is? I was told he was one of those guys people just guessed how old he was when he immigrated here. Julio Franco is better at proving that point
