today my stomach felt like someone was pouring cold water over it for about 30 mins. It felt like when you have heat rub on your body for sore muscles and the cold air blows on it. The baby is moving lots and I am measuring at 40 weeks. Has anyone experienced this?? this is my second pregnancy and I have never heard of this happening.

Never heard of that either. I'd call my doctor and let them know but I wouldn't worry. When baby gets that big he/she can do a job on your nervous system. I remember being that far along and walking through my living room then being on the floor because my left leg went completely dead. Found out it was just a pinched nerve because of my son's weight on it. Maybe you've dropped and so baby is putting weight on nerves that he/she hasn't before.

Yes this has happend to me also. I dont know why though. I thought that maybe the baby was on a nerve or something. I am also 38 weeks and this is my 3rd pregnancy, I never had this happen to me before. I had an ultrasound on friday and my baby measured over 40 weeks!!!! I also thought that maybe the baby is too big, shes already over 8 lbs. I wouldnt worry too much though cause your not alone.

omg-that is so weird! im about to pop any day here and Im not due till the 23rd--but yesterday/last night-I had that same 'cold' feeling right above my belly button area.
I wonder if that has anything to do with going into labor.
Im interested to see other replies
