I know this sounds bizarre, but it really works. Put it in the freezer for a few hours (maybe overnight). The wax will release from the sides and you should be able to get the rest of the candle out no problem.

Assuming it has a lid...place the lid on tightly. Place the candle in a boiler filled with boiling water. Watch for the wax to become liquid. When it does, remove the candle from the water(be careful, the candle jar will be hot. Use a pot holder or something to isolate your hands from the heat. Remove the lid, and do whatever you want with the wax.(you have to do this quickly because once the wax cools, it will be solid again.)

I hate it when this happens. It's not pretty and it seems like such a waste when you have so much wax left over.

I am currently a consultant for a candle seller that sells candles, including jar candles, that liquify in their containers and burn completely with little maintenance and have a beautiful, lasting fragrance. They look incredible and smell just as great.

You can visit my website if you're interested.

For this situation, I'd suggest putting it in a pot of boiling water until the wax liquifies, then pour it out.

Good Luck!

Place the candle holder in the freezer use common sense with regard to the material of the candle holder and time in the freezer. The wax should flake off easy if not place back in the freezer a little longer.

I am a former party lite consultant, high end candles and candle holder.

How about placing on paper towel in microwave? Try for 30 seconds and if glass OK and wax still not melted, move time up to 1 minute, 2, etc. Good luck!

take a pot of water and boil the water....

then place the jar with wax in it into the water... make sure the water isn't over-flowing the jar.

Malt the wax and scoop or dump the wax out.

Hope this helps!
