$0.10 it's all I had left after a meal that expensive. I was a poor college student. At least I left something.

when i just graduated from hs a few friends and I went to a rather nice restaurant. We were basically ignored by the waiter. The other people that were dining there finally got them to wait on us. I quess they did not like the fact that we were too young to order alcoholic drinks. We were dressed nicely. The tip we left was a penny.

Nothing, In fact we had to complain to the manager. We were on vacation and ate in a truck stop. Half the stuff I tried to order the waitress refused to bring us even though other people were eating it. We had to hunt her down to get our order. She was more intrested in sitting the the truckers lap in the next booth. We left without eating. or paying for the meal.

Unfortunately, my father has taught me that even if the service is awful, you still leave a decent tip, at least. So, I feel guilty now not leaving at least 15%. I don't feel the need to give a bad tip if the food is bad, but if the service is awful, I sure would like to leave a penny or nothing even, but I just can't.

ZERO. The waiter forget I was there--finally took my order--I didn't see him again for 1/2 hour, and I still didn't even have a glass of water.

When he finally brought my food, it was not what I ordered. I told him, he gave me a dirty look and took the plate away--finally a manager walked in, and she served me, and gave me extra, AND would not accept a tip.

like most ppl nothing, the service was crappy and the waiter/waitress never impressed me, i spent more time waiting for them. my idea of tipping is that the person has to earn it not expect the tip. also if their job requires them to stand behind a counter and serve coffee and donuts ur not waiting on me i am waiting on you. best tip for the hell of it was 20$ on a 35$ bill.

I left my waitress at Denny's a quarter because I ordered a strawberry shortcake and told her that I thought the strawberries tasted rotten. She stuck her finger in my dessert, ate one of the strawberries and then shrugged her shoulders and said, "tastes fine to me" and walked away!!

25 cents and a note as to why she got that amount. She was downright rude. I hope she found another line of work.
