Right now I'm doing math, english, spelling, hand writing, and social studies [maybe science]. But in college, I really want to major in Law Inforcement & Criminolgy. So tell me what I have to do, and if I need to add more books to my school day. And I'm home-schooled. I want to be a) lawyer b) cop or c) a judge. One more thing, what do I do for a Upromise acct.? I've already got it set up but I don't know what my parents need to do, to add points???????????

You won't have to do anything, or make any changes in your schedule, at least until high school. After you get into high school you will want to take all the Economics or Government classes you can get your hands on.

Now, after high school you will have some choices to make in college. You can become a police officer at any time. There really are not college degrees required for that career field, unless you want to go into police administration (usually lieutenant and up.)

However, if you want to be a lawyer, you will need to satisfy requirements to get into Law School.

To be a judge, you will have to be a lawyer first...then after 5 or 10 years of being a successful lawyer, you can enter elections for a judgeship.

But, for now, you're in 5th grade. Enjoy being a kid, and learning everything you can before college. All your life experiences right now will help you out in whatever career field you choose later in life.

For now, concentrate on math, science and writing. You need those skills no matter what path you choose. Then you can progress to social studies and history, and later to humanities, especially sociology and psychology. Also, reading about criminal and legal cases will help you later on. I would also recommend studying leadership, organization, human resource management. Remember, you will be dealing with all types of people (not necessarily at their best) in either of those careers. Many business leadership/management principles apply to law enforcement or law careers, as well. There are many good books out there on these subjects. Good Luck with your studies!
