It's relative humidity. It's like a wind chill and heat index for the moisture content in the air.

Humidity is the amount of moisture in the air and like one other said, would not be as important to us since the effect of that much moisture is related to how much more moisture could be in the air.
Thus, relative humidity is just that, a percentage using the amount of moisture in the air divided by the total amount of moisture that the air could hold at that temperature.
So, in effect they are based on the same thing. Relative humidity just allows us to express it in a way that is more meaningful to us.

The relative humidity relates the humidity of the air to the air temperature. You never see an absolute humidity figure because for most people it would be meaningless. relative humidity is used in calculations of heat index. Unlike wind chill equivalent temperatures, relative humidity is real, non subjective and verifiable.

They both are important, but you need to know how they're calculated to make sense of it.
Humidity is the amount of water in the air. The relative humidity is the % of water that the air can hold at a given temp. Warm air can hold more water than cold air.
Lets say that 100g of air can hold 50g of water at 100F, but only 10g at 32F. If there is 5 g of water in each sample, then the relative humidity is 10% in the hot air, but 50% in the cold air. The cold air has the same total moisture but more RH.
The higher the RH number, the more closer you are getting to the water saturation at that particular temp. So a high RH in the summer means you are experiencing much more total water because the hot air can hold more water to begin with. But the same RH in the cold air means the total water you feel in the air is much less.
The same RH in cold and hot air means you experience more water in the hot air, so you feel more uncomfortable.

i imagine the humidity makes a unit artwork extra sturdy. My a/c is fickle like that. i have finally stumbled on which temperature to go away it at & do not mess with it....that is operating high-quality and we've were given some severe humidity the following.
