selling your first daughter to slavery is ok(Exodus 21:7-11) so is to stone your brat son to death (Leviticus 20:9) or killing anyone who works on a Saturday (Exodus 35:2) and to send anyone who ever played football to hell, because "touching a pig's skin is an abomination" (Lev.11:6-8). So if you're gonna say that homosexuality is bad because the bible says so, then you must also agree with the previous statements.

Are you a man? Will you marry me? LOL I have always wondered the same things... For example, the bible talks about how you should treat your slaves.. slavery is immoral and a disgrace to humanity. Why would anyone take everything the bible says so literal (or believe it at all)? I was watching a program last night that was discussing heaven and hell and what the bible says. The Hebrew version of the books of the bible have been translated over and over and sometimes to suit others thinking...

those are the laws of the old Testament. Christians live by the new Testament. If anyone still lived by the old Testament, none of us would be alive. That why Jesus came and died for us because it is almost impossible to live the way the people did in the old Testament in this society. That's why it says old and new.

all of that is in the old testement. the new testement overides the old one. i have sympathy the gay population. everday each of sin most of the time we dont even know it. i am not an active christian so this answer might be flawed.
