It's not the type of job that's definitive, but how cool your supervisor/manager is about it.

You could probably listen to your player at a job where you weren't required to interact with customers or rarely talked with other employees. My first guess would be as a file clerk, if you are stuck in a file room or office all day organizing papers and would otherwise be rendered insane by the silence.

you could work at a gas station they always have music, work at a radio station you know that they always have music, work at a skate rink they have music, my favorite is working at home I can listen to what ever I want when I want and how loud I want this is the best job I work on the Internet. Lots of luck with find just the right job.

My job lets me use my dell dj (mp3player) I work insurance overpayments. So I am pulling paperwork and recalculating hospital accounts all day. I wear my headphones 75% of my day.
