My cousin is a senior and i'm a freshman. Since it's her last year in high school, she wants me to go to every single dance with her. So far, I went to all of them. The upcomming dance (Winter Formal), I don't want to go, but she keeps on making me go. She said if i don't go, she'll never talk to me again. She also said to stop changing my mind. i NEVER changed my mind. I never said that i wan't to go. so please help me =[ should i go, or just face her and say no? I don't want her to be mad at me, but then again i don't want to go. I have more important things that i would rather do like study since i'm failing my classes. She just won't understand. =[

You need to find sometime to talk to her! If she doesn't understand ,then, she needs to find another person that will want to go to the Winter Formal with her! Maybe she won't be angry with you after all! If she is, just ignore her because you are more mature and if you do the right thing you will have nothing to feel sorry about! School is more important right now! :D

Girl, you are your own person and your cousin needs to understand that.
Sit her down and tell her how you had a blast going to all the dances with her but you want to get your grades up before going to any more dances. Explain to her how you need a break too. Tell her that you never said that you wanted to go either. Tell her that after you get your grades up and have a short break then you'll go to another dance. Till then you need to focus on other things in life.

If she gets mad at you-then let her. Who cares if she doesn't talk to you again? If she really cares for you then she'll understand and will stop pressuring you. If she doesn't stop, then tell her again nicely to stop and if that doesn't work either tell your mom or your aunt or just ignore her.

All the best!!

It's not fair to you at all and you were sweet enough to do so for this long. Let her know that you care for very much, that you enjoyed going to the dances with her, but just once you want to do something else on your own. Perhaps she has a fear of not being able to get a guy to take her? If you go, then she doesn't have to deal with finding a date. Try talking to her about her reasons for needing you to accompany her every time. Maybe you can help her find someone else to replace you.

Stand up for yourself for crying out loud!! You don't want to go right? Maybe you could try and find a friend or something she might like to go with? I wouldn't got if I didn't want to, I seriously doubt the whole not talking to you thing I mean really you are family right?

Unless you want to be support for her for the rest of your life, you have to get to where you say no and mean it! Once she graduates it can only get worse if she needs you with her all the time. I would stress to her though that she doesn't need you there because she may lack confidence and is gettting that from you. tell her that you need to study and can't go even though you would love to!!

Stay home and study. She'll get mad. She'll get over it. And maybe your grades will improve.
