This is a simple fix ... assuming you're running XP
Right click My Computer-Properties-Advanced- (Performance) Settings-Advanced-Change-Then tick "System Managed Size" you must NOW click SET to save this setting
After you click SET click OK (possibly OK again) and then you'll get a message saying "These settings require you to reboot" or something similar ... once you've clicked all the OK's you need to to close all the windows reboot the comp and all should be OK
Good Luck :)

Virtual Memory means your page/swap filespace. Insufficient Virtual Memory means your swap disk is running low on space, or somebody set a limit on how much swap space the system allocates. Go to My Computer, and Right click, select Properties, select Hardware Tab, select the Advanced tab, (may also be Performance tab) and locate the Virtual Memory box. Exact directions depend on what flavor of Windows you're running, but basically you need to up the maximum amount of disk space allocated to the swapfile. If you don't have enough space to do this, you need a bigger drive, or a second drive (1GB s/b enough) as a dedicated swapper.

Your swap file is either turned off, or your hard drive is filling up. In the case of the first problem, you right-click My Computer on the desktop and select Properties. Then select Advanced | Performance. Then select Performance | Advanced. Here you will click Virtual Memory | CHANGE, then select System Managed size.
In case number two, I suggest cleaning out some things on your hard drive. If you need a bigger hard drive, they are relatively cheap. That's what is causing your problem.

your memory space is pretty low on your hard drive. Try deleting old files or programs that you don't use often. Sometimes if you download tons of stuff to your computer, you may lose space as well. Games, music, pics, etc...
Go through your system and see what you need and don't need. Also it is good to do a Disk Deframentation on your computer every month. Or a disk compressor.
Don't delete items your computer needs to function.
If it really comes down to it, you can always get a bigger hard drive. Memory sold at Best Buy.

Your either running to many programs and services at the same time or you just dont have enough memory or hard drive space (Virtual Memory) to run the program you want to run.

Your hard drive is getting full, OR just go to control panel, then system, increase the Virtual memory, and that should fix it.
Could also run clean disk to get rid of rubbish files...

low memory! Simply right click my computer, then click properties. It'll show you how much ram you have.My recommendation for xp is 512 at least to run at a descent speed.Anything less than 512 simply buy a stick of memory to help you to 512 or more.

Go to Start>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs>Delete any programs you do not need or use
Go to Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Defrag your computer and run the disc clean up
Go to the top of this screen to Tools>Internet Options>Delete cookies, files and history
(This will add space to your computer and make it go faster too.)
If you need virus/spyware/adware protection go to http://www.filehippo.com
(Buy more RAM)
If you need to talk to a tech go to http://www.geeksquad.com and click on contact us then chat and ask them.
Good luck
