Im wondering would it be very hard to transition into an RN program? I have a BA in Business mgt which hasnt proven to be very helpful. Seems like healthcare is the only profession thats not actually based on who you know but "DEMAND".

Would it be like starting over from scratch???

TIA

If you want to be an RN then you should go for it . . . certainly job security :-) But you'll be working long hours & having to deal with a lot of things that most people don't like to even think about. I went from a computer programmer to an RN & I am having a blast.
You won't have to start from "scratch" however, you will be entering a completely different world as far as schooling goes. You can get your associates in RN, but you will still be a "BA with your RN" thus you will have more opportunities in the field of nursing, such as community nursing (working as a school nurse) or a nurse administrator.
Long ago one of my nursing instructors had her AS in RN, BA in business, & MS in psycology.
You might want to check with your local college that offers nursing as a degree & figure out the requirements before making your decision.

Yes, with the exception of any transfer classes. Chemistry, A&P, and core stuff, english and math. The best thing you can do is contact your local college and send them a transcript and see what will articulate with their RN program. I would not get an RN in your situation, a BSN would be more suitable as you can go farther with it.

You may not be starting from scratch. I am sure you have had your English and Math classes because they are pretty standard for all degrees. You may find that you are lacking in the Science departent. You will need Anatomy and Physiology I & II, Microbiology, Biology and Chemistry and a few Psychology classes. Good luck!!

convinced a number of your coaching will count number in route of a BSN as a 2d Bachelors jointly with the speeded up BSN or an get entry to point MSN application. do no longer settle for an ADN or pals degree. i do not recognize what state you're from so i will't factor you to any certain application yet countless substantial universities with nursing classes would have those recommendations.
