i have a craked cadillac engyne how can i fix it?

i have a 96 cadillac and the engyne is craked
i dont what should i do should i buy another engyne for it?
i herd there is like oil stuff to put into the engyne and it wil get fixed or something like that

It is possible to weld an engine block (you didnt say where the crack was, so I'm assuming its the block) But its very difficult requires special rods and needs to be done by a trained welder. Cast is difficult to weld in the first place, and likely it wont hold in most cases anyway and will break around the weld later. (though welding cast aluminum will work better/more often than welding cast iron)

Quick fix additives in a can wont work worth a damn really. Best bet it to replace the engine (you can just replace the short block.. the lower part basically.. with out the heads manifolds etc if you want to do the work yourself (and its a lot of work) ) or get a complete engine from a junk yard (likely cheaper really)

trying to fix it with snake oil fixes will only cover up the problem for awhile.Is the head cracked or the engine block? If its the head replace the head,if its the engine block replace it.

you should buy a new one because trying to weld or repair it in any way it will only be a band aide and will cost you as much to fix it as buy a new one
