Technological advances will increase the gap between the rich and the poor.

It is hard to say, but I would tend to disagree with Katie D.

The gap between rich and poor is actually much smaller then it was say in the 1800s, and technology is a major reason. It brought more to the masses. And a poor person these days might have their lives saved by a technology that a rich person in the 1800s would die of, because it just wasn't available.

Also technology like the Internet has fueled the actions of large amounts of people just because now they know how other people live in other countries, where before they only knew what their government told them.

I suspect the future changes will be like the ones that have happened in my lifetime so far (46 years). There are things that we would not even thought possible, the Internet, cell phones, ...
And then their will be things that have hardly changed at all. The house I lived in when I was born is still there, and someone lives in it.
