My husband had a interview wednesday and the employer said i let you know when to start monday. When a employer says he'll let you know monday does that mean he will really call monday? From your own personal experience do they always call you back to let you know when to start? Or they just dont.. Were really counting on this job

I'll call/ I'll let you know...... Are often used as a polite means of getting rid of you. However to be told " I'll let you know when you start Monday" sounds like the real thing. You might not start Monday, but he will let you know when you do .Maybe a new project just getting started.Could be a sweet gig. Good luck

If he said he will call you Monday to let you know when he will start. That means he got the job. Now if he said I will call you Monday and let you know wether or not you got the job, that's a different story and can go either way. Now if your husband calls Monday and they dodge him or say the supervisor is in a meeting can I take a message that means he didn't.

To be honest with you hon, if an employer told me that I was to start on such and such a day and he did not call me. I WOULD CALL him to find out what is up. I would give the employer the benefit of the doubt that he/she must have been busy and forgot to notify me. I do know however, that employers look for "Go Getters", people who are eager to be employed. Hope all works out for you and your husband. Take Care...

If he said, "I'll let you know when to start Monday", then it sounds like he does have the job.
