Why the name Anthony is equivalent to Tony and vice versa?

Cause Any and Thony sound really wierd.

But since we are talking names,

How do you get Bob from Robert, or Bill from William. I can't get the letter "B" to resemble "R" or "W" no matter which way I turn it. Always looks like a "B" to me.

And what about Richard. How do you get the name Dick from that. Talk about a major case of Dyslexia.
