It is so hard for me to depend on others, it's not like I have been let down a lot but I am really independent.

Actually, that is the definition of insanity, doing the same thing over and over but expecting a different result result THIS time.
If this is habitual behavior for someone you know, I hope that this is a person you can easily extricate yourself from.

yes definely, i lived alone for 3 years then got married and became a housewife but it kills me inside to depend on someone else i liked being independant don't get me wrong i am happy but it's still hard
