Im a prep but sick of it want to be sk8r my hair is dark brown what color should i color it know need it ASAP!

First of all being a prep is sumthing u just chose get out of, if u make the dramatic change to sk8er, U'll b the local poser. So just stick with ur hair, besides i had a punk cut for a while, but that didnt make me any less preppy. if not more. U r who u r! sorry!

Wow. Why all the labels? Just be yourself. You don't need to fit into a neat little box. Dye your hair whatever color you think will look best on you.

Brown or even blonde could work to make you punk if you wear the right clothes, makeup, etc. But if you want to dye it something different I'd say red, black, or blue-ish black. I'm not the preppy kind, and my hair is currently red.

Your current color would work just fine. Really, if you can pull everything else off, your hair probably won't screw you up. Good luck, that sounds like a big transition.
