I think that all forms of government have positive factors and flaws. In my opinion communism is good because everyone has the opportunity to go to very well equipped schools and hospitals, unlike capitalism in which public schools lack suffiecient resources and in which people of lower class are obligated to go to a poorly equipped hospital.

There are certain aspects of our lives that are better run in a communal fashion and some that are better run in a individualist fashion. Communist countries have a very short history, only about 100 years...which is not alot of time and they always end up hijacked by dictators so they are not really communism...In fact I would go so far as to say the communist countries of the last 100 years are the even further away from communism than modern capitalist countries, even America. In communism the people have direct democratic control over everything, not indirect control being rationed out by a superpower government. I honestly do not think capitalism is fair. Many capitalists make an argument that we all get what we work for in capitalism, but the problem with that theory is that it is a fantasy. In capitalism many people are born into wealth (Paris Hilton for instance) and they can afford to just do nothing with themselves if they want to. Some people are born without any wealth and few, if any, advantages...This is an unequal start in life. It's like a race where some people start already having finished and other people start on the other side of the world tied to anvils...So communism is good for getting people more on an equal level. I do not believe that "paying everyone the same salary" is what communism is all about, that is just one approach to solving the problem is inequality (most communists themselves do not agree with that systme). People deserve to be able to make more or less money but people need some kind of system to help everyone have an equal start. It just not realistic to say that this is not a problem that needs to be addressed (like libertarians and republicans seem to feel)

I was raised in Cuba and even with the US blocking money entries, such as commerce, Education and Health are of top level, and that's what it matters.
In imperialist countries, such as the US, what's important is how much stuff you can buy, even if you don't know anything at all or are dying of cancer.
If it wasn't for the US embargo Cuba would not have economic problems.
The thing is that USA can't afford Cuba to be successful because everything that have been telling about communism would be destroyed.
Cuba is a great country, when there was a coup in Chile, and communists were tortured and killed Cuba welcomed my family and gave education and health to my family.
"Cuba que linda es Cuba, quien la defiende la quiere mas!"

Capitalism is far better than communism as it is practiced today. If Communism was practiced as it was written in the communist manifesto, maybe. But I think Socialism should be looked at harder.I would be willing to pay more taxes for programs like social medicine and social education. It seems to work pretty well in other European nations. Free medicine and free education sounds like a real deal.

You cannot compare the two, capitalism is a economic system and Communism is a government system. I know the corporations would like you to think different.

Communism doesn't work. It didn't eliminate poverty in the USSR or in Cuba. With capitalism everyone has a chance to make something of themselves. I'm a business owner and I've worked my butt off for eight years to make my business a success.

Communism might look good to some of paper, but it is impossible to turn that book into anything good. In communist Russia, the masses were forced to wait in bread lines and live 10 people to 400 sq foot apartment. Communist China awards it's dissenters with a massicre in Tieneman Square. None of these people were given greater "oppurtunites" than these.

The down side to communism is, well take the USSR for example. Human nature is to move do as little as necessary so if a doctor makes as much as a farmer what incentive is there for him to excel at his profession. None. That is why the USSR collapsed. Capitalism has its problems but the one advantage is the promise of a personal reward for excellence. Communism brings equality, people are equally miserable.

You oviously don't live in a communise run country. Bet most ordainary people that are forced to live in them would prefer capitalism.. Comminism: a few selected people get rich & live well but on the backs of the average joe, who never have a hope of living well.

I would like to see just how long you would last under communistic rule. This sort of thing would never happen (your answer nor your attitude.) I have been to Cuba too, and your way off base. Your free speech would be over, just like it is in Cuba.
