Well.. if you arnt shy just go up to people that look friendly but arnt in a big group at the moment. Its really annoying to be talking to someone when randomyl a new person pops up and breaks your conversation. So go up to someone that alone or in a smaller group. Also classtime is a good way to make friends. Start with the person you are sitting beside. Get your self out there so that you dont make eneimies xD If you are shy some people will most likely come to you to show you around and to introduce themselfes. Try;to make good conversation and that will get you at leasd some friends..;Maybe not best friends but they will atleast help you through the day before you can find your click.

Just start talking. Start with the one whom you sit with. You can even pass a sweet smile to anybody you meet. A smile can make someone's day.

Ovid, a Roman poet when Rome was at her best once said, "ut ameris, amibilis esto!" Latin for, "if you want to love, be lovable!"
Maybe some prophet told him you would need the advice 2000 years later so he wrote it down just for you : )
Just a thought.

First, be yourself. Join clubs that interest you. Listen to people who talk to each other in class. If they talk about something you know or are interested in, make a comment like, "I couldn't help but overhear...and I know XYZ about that."

just be yourself and try not to be shy, but if you are shy try talking to people you do not really care about making friends with, then go talk to the people you want to be friends with and it will be way easier and you will be way less shy.
