Some women are possessive yes, and so are some men. Sometimes it's due to insecurity and other times to selfishness.

Being possessive comes from alot of things. I grew up surviving child abuse and being treated as the black sheep of my family. I married someone who also abused me physically, mentally and emotionally. I lived my whole life with abuse of some kind up until about 15 years ago. I got therapy and found people that could help me put my life in order the way I wanted. I had to decide for myself how I was going to let someone treat me and what I wanted in my life and what I didn't want. I have finally met a man that treats me like an equal and respects who I am. All I want to do now is live with him the rest of my life and be happy. I feel that I am possessive because of my past and what I want for my future. I just want what I feel I deserve. I feel that I deserve nothing less then being treated as I treat him. I just don't want anything or anyone to interfere in my future with this man that I love more then life itself and that is the main reason that I am possessive.

not only wives are possessive men too, we're all humans.

possessive relating to relationships do points to being insecure of losing the partner to someone else? or even losing oneself to a 3rd party?

one of the sure sign is to keep the partner in full sight and full time too.

sometimes women who are possessive are insecure, but i think sometimes it's because the husband has made others his priority, while he neglects u and your wants and needs. think some husbands make their wives insecure, by paying too much attention to others, be it other woman, friends, families, kids from a previous marriage, and she just feels neglected, and unloved.

Wives who are insecure are possessive.

That leaves 97% of us who aren't insecure so we're not possessive.

Some people in general are possessive. I don't think it stops with just women, men can be like this too.

Yes! I am a very possessive wife due to insecurity!! I am always afraid that my hubby will find a better looking, slimmer, absolutely drop dead gorgeous woman w/ bigger "ones". We were both married before. We've cheated on our spouses w/ each other!!! I'm afraid that it's going to happen w/ me when I'm married to him. So, the answer is....YES!!

Most of the time when women act like this, there is a reason behind it, making her feel insecure, or untrusting. It's not normal to be that way from the start, unless you are pushing your boundaries...

Yes, when I've met a possessive wife, it has always been because she doesn't trust her husband, is insecure, or is a cheater herself.

No , it's because men can't keep their dingaling in their pants and there are little heifers that keep throwing themselves.
