I think your right for the most part long acrylic nails are out, i mean think about all the crap they have now just to make them look as real as possible like solar nails, gel nails, pink and whites and etc. so i defianty prefer well manicured and maintained shorter nails not too short but defiantly shorter then acrylics. plus people that get acrylics now get them much shorter than before. Like i said i think well maintained manicured nails just look better.

They will last about 2 weeks before you need a fill in...after 2 months or so, you will need completely new ones because your nails will grow then the acrylics will grow too

Yes. But if you are like me and can't grow a decent set of nails, then opt for a different kind. The "pink and whites" are great, durable, and they are harder to stain. Also, they are thinner and we all know how chunky some nails can look. Another great style of nail is the "gel wrap". If done right, with an American or French finish, they can look extremely realistic and when buffed up they can look like glass.

I like natural nails. I can't do anything with long nails. Plus there is so much in the news about the germs long news trap. I know nurses aren't allowed to have them.

I'd say dont bother with em. They're a hassle, and most of them dont even appear to look real. The natural look in makeup and nails is back, so just grow em out, and then get a manicure! = )

ha ha ha - I prefer acrylics that almost look real - not too long and rounded with a French tip.
although, I wish they'd make a way to make them more hygenic... I love them but I can't handle wearing them, it's like wearing 10 germ/bacteria incubators... ish

~~~I think it depends on your "personality" also your age,,,,young carefree sparkly,,colorfull,,,,long sparkly nails are fun. But I think the older you get,,,the short clean well manicured look is in. I wore those long airbrushed nails 15 years ago,,,,now that Im older it makes my hands nicer looking to wear short clean well manicured nails......it goes along with make up....less is more the older women get,,,,,
