Hmmm... well his eyes and chest but mainly how he conducts himself. He needs to be confident and oh ya a big package is secondary but a big plus! ;)

Well frankly the emotional characteristics matter more than the physical. If a guy is cute but he's a total jerk, then I won't have anything to do with him. However, I do have some "soft spots" in both categories, so I'll list them here.
Physical: First of all, I'm partial to tall, lean guys where they look like they're two-thirds leg. (e.g. Bryan Ferry from Roxy Music, Sean Bean). I'm also into very masculine looking men, so Orlando Bloom need not apply. I also like them older; my last boyfriend was 16 years older than I.
Emotional: I'm a total sucker for goofballs, which may explain why Duckie from "Pretty In Pink" is my all-time favourite movie character. They also have to be well-read. I may not always agree with you, but for God's sakes know what you're talking about. If you're a walking encyclopedia, well then you're mine.
I think above all of these though is the fact that he has to be tolerant of all kinds of people and cultures. This is doubly important as I volunteer at a GLBT organization. It's one thing to be accepting of gays and of a girlfriend who is the same way, but it can be another thing entirely for some guys when they find out that said heterosexual girlfriend is a straight ally and fights for GLBT rights.

I say it's eyes. An intense and intelligent gaze makes a man irresistable. But chemically, it's actually body odor. Our noses work to "smell" for a person with totally different genes from our own. That's why, in case you wondered, you sometimes fall for someone you CAN'T STAND. Scientifically, opposites attract, since diverse genes means that the potential offspring has a bigger genetic pool of traits. Even if you might not want to have kids, that natural attraction is still there. That's phermones for you ^_^!

Usually appearance. I was very shy as a young girl and teenager so if any boy paid attention to me I was grateful. But I was definitely attracted to the "bad boy" image...probably because that's was I figured i deserved. Now at a very mature age I would advise girls to get to know the person and find someone with similar interests and convictions.

Some women go for facial features like eyes, or lips, or noses, others go right to anatomical features like legs, arms, backside or chest.
Then there are others that look for internal features, like honesty and sense of humour.
Some may think it is not possible to see these, but it is.
Did you know that one brow wrinkle is the result of 2,000,000 frowns?

I'm questioning the topic placement of this question. Things that attract me to people are how they carry themselfs the way they are acting and dressing. I always like a confedent person, who looks hot.
