yes I do.BUT I also feel that each person should stand for another countries national anthem............for instance at a service both the USA and UK was played the UK to a person remained standing for the USA one but even had people talking and shuffling around during the UK one......if you want respect for yours then at least PLEASE try and show a little to others.
Only time I have not stood for either yours or mine was due to a back injury and was wheelchair bound at the time........

It may be in poor-taste, but it is not disrespectful!
We live in the US and sitting during the National Anthem is not against the law.
The disrespect comes when you're at a ballgame (as an example) and the loud, Confederate flag-waving rednecks sitting 10 feet away make an issue out of it...in public!

Remember not everyone can stand so easily. If they were forced to stand during the anthem they may not be able to attend the event at all. Be thank full for your health. Others may not be as lucky as you. Don't be so fast to judge just because they are not in a wheel chair. It may literally be taking everything they have just to get to there seat.

If you can, I think that you should stand during the national anthem. It's a sign of respect for your country since the anthem is a symbol of your country. People refusing to stand up during the national anthem aren't patriotic. They just either are lazy or unwilling to be restrained by any sort of loyalty to anything.
Besides, how hard is it to stand up? Unless you're disabled, you should stand up.

It depends on the reason for not standing.
If it's for political reasons, then yes, it is disrespectful. However it is their right to make that gesture, so if you respect what America stands for, then you will respect their right not to stand (whether you agree with it or not)

Unless they're physically incapable of standing, not standing is very disrespectful.

No. You can live and work in this country, but that does not mean you owe it your allegiance. If you work here, you've already paid your dues.
