His reaction isn't your problem, unless he tries to harm you. If you leave him and he comes to your place threatening you or threatening to harm himself, call the police. Get a restraining order, and make sure he knows you are serious. Have family and/or friends around you if you can.
Take care of you...don't let his behavior manipulate you into doing what he wants. Good luck!

In most cases, people who are in an abusive relationship are afraid to leave because the abuser would threat of killing himself once he's been left behind and he wil do everything he can to stop the victim from doing so. If you truly want to break up with him, you should make a careful study of how you will be able to escape. Make a careful plan to know his time schedule of coming in and getting out of the house. Pack up some clothes which will last for about a week's journey. And hide it somewhere else where he can't find it. Keep your cash handy . If you are with a child , prepare the kid's necessities in a bag such as clothes, diapers, food etc. As much as possible act normally so he wouldn't get any slightest idea about your great escape. And when the time is right, go and leave him forever. Seek help from your nearest friend or relative a place of refuge where he doesn't have any clue that you are staying there . Finally, report him to the authorities for your own safety. good luck.

u need to get a restraining order on him, don't let him come over anymore, he could turn on u and hurt u. change your phone number, and than if he shows up call the police. sounds emotionally disturbed, and if he thinks he can't have u, he could really hurt u. these kind of men don't take no for an answer, can't take disappointments in their life. do u have a place to stay until u can get the restraining order filed? your only concern is your safety, u can't help him, he is mental.

ok...first of all. he has control over you though emotions. meaning...if he comes crying...you will take him back. you need to make a firm decision right now that no matter what (even if he is outside in the cold freezing...you will not take him back. it doesnt' matter if he decides to cut himself or sit on his knees crying his heart out. that you will not take him back. you also need to leave him. there should be an abuse or women's domestic abuse help in your area. you can try searching the internet such groups to help you break away from this abusive man. cause it is only a matter of time before it turns physical

If it is your house that he is coming to----------get a RESTRAINING ORDER against him--which will say he is not allowed anywhere near you, your home or the workplace. You too need to abide by what the "ORDER" says for it to be effective.
If he does not abide by it he goes to jail. Another thing for you to do is CHANGE your locks,(do not give out the extra keys) and change your phone # and get it unplubished. Do it NOW, do not wait any longer and do not give in to his crying as he will continue to do this. (ex cop here)

If you live with him, move out when he is not home. Then call him and tell him it's over. Temporarily move in with a friend, if you can, for protection. If he comes around, call the police and get a restraining order.

you need a safety plan, a plan set up in advance, where to do, money, support system for emotional support, look into local domestic abuse shelters for help, other things to look into are restraining orders, and possibly some counseling for yourself

1-800-799-SAFE -national domestic violence hotline (and yes your situation falls under this category) or try the website

Call them and they can help you and also give you the number to your local shelter. Personally, I would say, leave when he is at work and change your number, email, etc. Sooner or later he is going to hit you.
