my two best friends sort of hate each other. i can't stand it, whenever i hang out with them they start to pick a fight with each other, its so annoying and i have to go through it EVERY day!!! i can't stop being friends with either of them because they are my really good friends. to make matters worse, i have a like obsession about talking about people behind their back so if one friend starts saying some junk aobut the other one, ill go along with it, and its starting to really become a problem...

thank you for answering this question because i'm having the same problem. I try to change the subject when it comes to talking behind peoples back. My friends who are fighting I try to hang out seperatly and evenly. I don't think that the people in fights understand how this affects there other friends tremendously!!! Im so annoying and tired of gossip!!! I'm going to talk to all my friends personally and nicely and tell them pretty much...I don't want to hear your gossip crap anymore and they need to stop when I'm around them. of course I will say it nicer then that!lol! but that wil be what I'm thinking.

it happened to me before..but my 2 other friends had an open mind...when i talked to them and suggest they sit down and talk things out, they both agreed, now i played a major part in the friendship...they are oK now, but i know they may not be the best friends they used to be, at least by being civil with each other is enough...
try, it works for me, i hope it does to you and your friends also...

what you can do is tell them that it bothers you. or put them in a room together and have them fight and argue until they cant argue and fight anymore. or ask them a simple question. why are they fighting. what is there reason and purpose and what is it solving? nothing. its just making matters worse.
