The Radical Spinoza by (my former teacher) Paul Wienpahl, but it might be hard to find. Or not. See link.

don't get me wrong, Spinoza is absolutely brilliant, and the concepts he introduced to mankind are unparalleled. However, his style of writing, namely his geometric order can be one hell of a turnoff to a non-dedicated philosopher. If you want to get someone into philosophy, tell them to read "Sophie's World".
