I remarried Nov.2006. I know that can't change support. He and his wife have hasseled me for years. We've been divorced 10 years.

yeah same here... OH they ALL want it reduced... most of the time it backfires on them by being increased. they can squeel as loud as they want, but they are still going to have to pay... 'til the child(ren) are done college in most states.

the child(ren) needs come before all of us, period.

now most states have an 'cost of living' increase every 2 to 3 years, so he better brace himself. if your caseworker is not on the ball, contact your Regional Federal CS Office.

here is a child support calculator; just click on your state and fill it in. this will give you a general idea as to what it will be.

also some other links to help. just click on your state and find the info you need. the last few are to help you...

The only way he can have his support reduced by your remarrying is if you have SHARED PLACEMENT. If you're the primary placement house hold he may be in for a surprise--many men have taken their ex's back to court only to find out they're not paying enough! I suspect that would be the case if you haven't had an increase in those 10 years.

Click on your state to find the support guidelines for your state:

If you haven't already request the services from your county child support agency!

It is really sad that some parents don't love their children enough to properly support them. And some are not mature enough to accept the responsibility. And others think--why should I give her money.---Roof over their head, food, clothes, school supplies--etc.. Just need to think of the child FIRST !!!! Surely in 10 years he has gotten a raise ? Raise the child support !!

I know a few people who have went to court for child support reduction and actually had it raised.
