A very high acceptance rate (97% -wow!) indicates two things:
The college is not selective, meaning that it accepts most applicants.
The college does not attract more applicants than it can handle.
The most highly ranked schools are, for the most part, the most desirable, and therefore reject the most applicants, because they can!
The lower ranking colleges reject fewer applicants, because they attract fewer applicants, and therefore need the ones they get.
I hope this helped!

That doesnt neccisarily mean its a bad college. First you need to figure out which one has better skills in areas you want to go into. Its not like the whole college will be excellent at everything.
It may also mean that it is at a student low so it trying to recruit alot of students. Also getting in may be easier but that doesnt say that the actual classes will be low quality.
But in the end if you still arnt sure about it, try and go for teh other two. The worst thing is doubting that your college isnt right for you, cause then you will be holding your self back thinking there is no point.

I have attended several different univ. 2 major univ. these universities accept almost every student.. One college is well known for sports, etc but the academic part sucks..it's the worst school I have ever gone to.. I am going to another school who isn't well known for a lot of anything and the school is excellent in the way they treat their students, teachers, etc. Every college has good and bad.. I will just be happy to get my degree and get a job..I am not worried about the NAME brand, per say school... Most employers dont' care where u graduated from as long as u are licensed, etc.. Look at Bush..he graduated for Harvard and he has NO sense and obviously the education he rec. was horrible..listen to him talk..

Look at the average test scores and GPAs of the people get accepted. It does not always mean the school is bad. There are various factors involved. For instance, location. Maybe the school is kind of in the middle of nowhere and only well known by the locals. Or maybe the school is very small and doesn't get that many applicants.

Not only does a 97% acceptance rate indicate that it isn';t such a great school -- neither does a 50-60% acceptance rate.
With your GPA you should be applying to better schools.
Go to Princeton Review's web site. They have a tool wher eyou can enter information about your background and interests & they will suggest schools for you.

If you think it is a 'bad' school - why apply there?
They must all meet certain criteria for graduation. Therefore, I don't think you will find a 'bad' school. Maybe they just charge more, so less people apply.
You can not judge a school by it's acceptance rate. Look at the average SAT scores, GPA and class rank of students admitted. That will tell you more about the school.

in my opinion, there are very few bad colleges. most schools have amazing professors and resources for those students that want to put the time in. what you get at schools with high acceptance rates are "bad" classmates/peers (i.e. immature, lazy, etc.) in my opinion, it is ultimately your peers that make you college experience great. good luck!

Don't apply to any school that you seriously don't want to go to. Your chances of getting accepted to the ones that you already applied to are very good.
