. When dust starts to collect on petals and leaves, it is easy to clean . Simply place a cup of table salt in a large paper bag. Grocery bags are ideal and readily available. Remove the plant from the container if you can do this easily without ruining the integrity of the plant or arrangement. Then gently place it inside the paper bag, roll the top down a couple of times and shake the bag. The salt will lightly scrub the dust from the petals and leaves. Then shake the arrangement a bit as you take it out of the paper bag to remove any excess salt. That is all there is to it! If the salt is not too dirty, save it for future use.

I take mine outside & spray them with a hose. If you have moss in the basket remove it first. Leave them in the sun an hour or so to dry. You won't believe how easy, quick and how good they look. Try it & you will never clean them any other way.
To keep them dust free - Boy, burn them I guess. Dust will settle on them no matter what you do.

Try canned air or there is a product available at craft stores called Silks Alive! that you spray on and let it dry. Works well.

You can place them in a bag with regular salt.
A 1/4 cup should do it.
Shake well.
This gets them very clean.
I also gently dunk mine in a mild detergent/warm water solution and allow them to air dry.

I usually dust them first, then spray and wipe each leaf with a furniture polish to shine them up and help keep dust off. I also wipe them with fabric softener sheet to repel dust too.
