why do they sometimes cut off the sound on pm shows of celebrity big brother 2007?

Whenever I watch Celebrity Big Brother 2007 at midnight the soound is just on and off all the time! I thought it was only when they were all asleep but it's also when the housemates are talking or in a middle of an interesting discussion, it's so annoying. You can only hear the sound birds and cars passing by. Anyone to have the answer? Please help!

As the show has sponsors, the participants are required not to say anything derogotary about the products advertised during the show.

i'm not 100% sure, but i bet it's when they are talking about other celebs, or places that they go, they are not allowed to advertise anything, if you look at the wine and food packets they all have stickers on so that no brand names are favourites, or all the major companies would want to jump on the bandwagon, so where a third known party is involved they have a delay and switch it off, also the bits they choose to take out are the bits for the catch up, otherwise we would already know whats happening, it's like we never see anybody talking in the diary room ! they are selective to make us watch it! and I thought that to-nights sing along was hilarious, but on the other hand this has been the most boring celeb edition yet! by the way this is not fact just what i think!

All the above answers are right, citation, advertising etc. But then I hear a bit of racism is going on so why haven't they edited that? I think one big reason for cutting the sound is to sway the public's vote against who the producers want to be voted out. That is why the popularity of somebody changes from good to bad, because you only hear one side of the argument. I think it's all a scam for Jade to win.
