It is a reusable menstrual cup, that only needs to be emptied 2-3 times in a 24 hour period. You then empty it into the toilet, rinse it with water, and reinsert. You can read more about it here

I have one. It's a latex-free reusable (lasts a minimum of 5 yrs) menstrual cup. It fits inside much like a tampon (only a little lower in the vagina). The cup needs to be pinched in half, and then again to get it small enough to insert. Once it's up there, you twist it while slightly pulling it down to get a good suction. It only needs to be emptied once to twice a day, depending on your flow. To remove, you simply break the suction with your finger and twist it out. Empty the contents into the toilet, rinse and reinsert. Much better for your body and the environment than tampons. There is no risk of TSS (toxic shock syndrome) with a Diva Cup because it doesn't dry you out like a tampon. You'll save a bundle of money too. Good luck.

The divacup is designed for menstrual purposes.
It is meant to be a much more environmentally kinder solution compared to tampons and sanitary pads.

The DivaCup™ must be emptied 2-4 times a day (depending on your flow) and can be worn up to 12 hours overnight.

It shouldn't be used for birth control methods, and it doesn't protect you from STD's. You do not need to remove it for urination or bowel movements, but it must be removed prior to intercourse.

feminine protection in the form of a cup. You can do a search for it. It is expensive, but it lasts years, so you actually end up spending less. I have one. It is way less work than any other feminine protection. I'll never go back.
