I mean a medium is way too much pizza for someone who is single and I don't like warmed up pizza. Any ideas?

It all has to do with profit and risk. Yeah...some places offer it..like Sbarros. But it wouldn't be profitable for Dominos or Pizza hut to do it.

The reason is...the different toppings. If everyone wanted the same toppings, they could just make one style of pizza and make a larger profit margin on an entire pie (selling the slices individually).

But since there are so many options in toppings and crusts (pan, thin, etc)...they would end up with a bunch of wasted, stale pizza at the end of each shift.

Pizza My Heart sells it by the slice.

In Canada all pizza places sell it by the slice including Pizza Hut.

I think its cause Americans don't usually buy pizza slices.

i think it is because if they sell it by the slice and someone wants more than one someone is jsut going to go somewhere else and buy a whole pizza for the same price. to say about the pizza problem you can get a small instead of a medium and if a small pizza doesnt fill you up then order a small and some breadstix always a popular choice.

It's not cost effective. If you go to a pizza restaurant, you can get pizza by the slice. It isn't sold that way if you are ordering pizza for delivery. If you think a medium is too much for you, buy a small!

because every franchise have a standard and if them sell pizza by the slice this is mean that them will have some of this pizza in the end of the day from every pizza them make and this is mean west for them and you will never take it fresh

They are a franchise, and they are trying to give your fast service, cost effective meal and value for money all rolled into one. They are not boutique restaurants where they can cater for each persons needs individually, they generally cater for families on budget, parties and the younger generation. If a medium is too much for you your must look at the alternatives, buy a small, go somewhere else, or make your own. Save money and eat healthy.
