Either:
Get an antennae(for routhers at store)
Move the router closer to the laptops
Make it right under,or parallel
and they have different routers that have far more range! up to hundreds of feet!
Get a linksys

I think you can use multiple routers. But the thing about wireless routers is that you can't do it from one floor to another. If the router is on the first floor, then the connection is going to be weak on the other floors.

you dont want to run another router, you can get an access point, but they tend to be expensive, or a wireless range extender. All the major companies make them. It would be best to purchase one that is from the same maker as your router to ensure capatability.

I struggled with this problem for a long time and spent too much money to try to solve it, If you are using 802.11a or 802.11b, forget it. Either switch to 802.11g or use CAT5 or network through your home electrical wiring.
