Well, they had Johnny Cash do guest vocals on their song The Wanderer (on Zooropa). And they've said some positive things about Guy Clark, and covered country-ish rockers like Bob Dylan and Creedence Clearwater Revival. Also, I used to have a tribute album to Jimmie Rogers (a country singer from way the hell back in the '40s) that had Bono along with everyone from Willie Nelson to Van Morrison.
