how long will my night sweats last?

I had a radical hysterectomy in June 2006 and was put on Premarin. My dr suggested that I try to wean myself off of them asap. I cut back and then totally stopped them on January 1st. How long will the horrible night sweats last?

i had a hysterectomy Aug '06.i'm on no type of hormones,can't be due to a stroke.my night sweats are 24 7. some people have been saying that natural herbs help them,nothing helps me,but ceiling fans and floor fans.good luck to you.
