MY HUSBAND TOOK ME TO A CAR LOT AND TOLD ME TO GET WHAT YOU WANT SO I DID

I think a car is a major purchase and both husband and wife should talk about what car is best for them. Of course take into consideration what is comfortable for her to drive, needs, etc. I would feel the same way if my husband needed a new car.

What is this "let" stuff you are talking about?? Be a man and stop talking like that. See what she wants and go together and pick out the car. Unless she is being impractical or something, there is no reason she should not have a say in what she drives.

You all make me sick! You femi-nazis! The fact is that a marriage is a PARTNERSHIP. And a car is a big purchase. And with any big purchase BOTH PARTIES need to agree on this. There is no his money or her money in a marriage.

I would not let my wife go out and pick out a car by herself without talking about it with me first. Nor would I ever go buy a car without talking to her about it!!!

Well, I'm a wife so I'll turn it around. I'd really try to exercise my influence with my husband, given that I'd be riding in it as well.
