He could be teething or going through a growth spurt. When my daughter first started doing that, she was going through a growth spurt. Now she does it when she's teething. I wouldn't worry unless it's very hard to wake him up or he refuses to eat. If you're still worried, just call and talk to his doctor for some reassurance.

Sometimes a babies sleep pattern changes for no reason, but a bad day of sleep the day before or if he's coming down with something he would sleep a lot more. Is he lethargic and general less responsive to you? that would be a huge warning sign. If he's his normal self when he's awake I would just watch him for now. Probably he's about to get a cold.

He might be coming down with something or maybe he just decided to catch up on sleep. My daughter does the same thing about once a week she will sleep all day its weird but I just go with the flow.

He is probably sick or really sleepy. My kids are both very active (ages 2 and 3) and they are sick, all they want to do is lay down and rest all day! If you are concerned, I would talk to his ped! Good Luck

It might mean that he's sick or it could mean that he just needed some down time. You might want to call the doctor just to be certain.

Can you wake hime easily? Is he 'normal' when he is awake. If so, he's probably fine. If not, call his doc.
