My nephews diaper "exploded" and some poop got on the couch where he was sitting. Is there any way to clean that?

Take off the covering on the cushion, if you can, put it in the washer on gentle cycle and hang to dry. (cold water)

Your best bet is one of those steam carpet cleaners you rent with the furniture attachment. Under $50 for the rental and all the chemicals you need, and you can clean all your other carpets and furniture while you are at it.

If you periodically have your carpets cleaned by a service, now might be the time. They have more effective equipment. $100+ in total. But their service might be a little pricey for just one sofa.

If it is a white couch ... I think you'll always see it though ... whether it is there or not. Sorry.

Next time try slip covers. You may need to get slip covers to cover the sofa anyway if it doesn't come clean. Of course there is always new fabric or a new sofa.

If you have a leather couch, just use the baby wipes. If you have a fabric couch, the wipes might work, but if there is a stain, the Resolve or Spot Shot kind of cleaner would help. After you get it clean, use a odor neutralizer Febreze to eliminate the smell.

You can either use some upholstery cleaner in a can or make clean it up with the suds from Dawn dish soap, if the cushion cover isn't machine washable. You'll have to rinse the area but no need to soak it. Towel dry it & maybe you can use a hair dryer to fully dry the area if you're ina hurry for it to dry. Afterwards, spraying some FeBreeze (for fabrics) on it & it will smell great.

Should check the cleaning method of the type of material you have on your couch.

You can try calling a upholstery cleaner ( like stanley steamer), I'm sure that will work, but may not work if your couch is made of leather.

Bissell little green steam cleaner if you prefer to purchase one.

go to walmart in your baby section . Where they keep the wipes there should be a nursery cleaner called totally toddler stain remover and deodorizer spray . Use this on your couch . It will take it out . You might have to use this in a carpet cleaner and use the upholstery parts to clean it if it is really bad .

Why is your cat disposable? You made the problem not the cat, it is up to the thinking human to figure it out. It could be a health issue with the cat. Other thoughts did you change the type of litter you use. Are the boxes clean and private enough. I really doubt it is still mad about a baby 16 months later. Cats don't work that way. They don't harbour emotions, that is you projecting on the cat. Do you give the cat attention since the baby!

Use a carpet shampooer with a furniture attachment. Barring that, something like Spot Shot or Resolve Carpet Stain Remover will help.
