By educating others about the truth behind the legend.
The communist, drug abusing, wife-beating plagiarist you know as Martin Luther King does not deserve his own holiday.

I will probably spend the day doing housework which is the same thing I do every Monday, but I will most definately say a prayer in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. He was a great American who taught us much. His writings are some of the best and most inspiring that I've ever read. Yes, a lot of us "white people" realize the importance of this man in our history. It is sad he had to leave us far too soon.l

This is not a matter of race at all but I was here during his whole tenure as a freedom fighter. Martin King was one of the biggest hypocrites on the planet. He had a different woman in nearly every city and still played the role as a minister of the Gospel. His doctorate was for the most part Plagiarized from others writings. This from the Boston University;
Supposed scholars, who in reality shared King's vision of a racially mixed and Marxist America, purposely covered up his cheating for decades. The cover-up still continues. From the "New York Times" of October 11, 1991, page 15, we learn that on October 10th of that year, a committee of researchers at Boston University admitted that, "There is no question but that Dr. King plagiarized in the dissertation”. However, despite its finding, the committee said that "No thought should be given to the revocation of Dr. King's doctoral degree," an action the panel said "would serve no purpose."
You see, he had already been given a holiday in his name by Congress in order to quell some of the problems of the country at the time. I certainly don't mind any race having a hero to look up to and the ones who deserve it should be proud as so should their race. This is nothing to be proud of. King's wife was in the process of filing divorce papers when he was shot. I am truly sorry King was killed because it made him a martyr. I'm truly sorry King was killed because he was a man who did try and do good for himself and his race, but he was not what the people have made him into. He was certainly no Saint. To hear some of the reporters talk on these news shows, he was a person who could absolutely do no wrong.

Just showed my daughter several videos on this great man. I hope his legacy will continue with her generation.
There is obviously still many who find it acceptable to show hate toward King. Don't quite understand it. He fought for the oppressed of society, for basic voting rights for all Americans and job protection. He stood up for causes that were unpopular, like speaking out against the Vietnam War. And he, of course, was the conscience of the nation, putting a mirror in front of our faces and saying, "Don't you see what you need to do? Now?!"
He was not a perfect man, and yes, there are many today who try to make him out to be so. I think King would have been the first person offended by this attempt to make him a saint.
But...despite his transgressions, he did as much for America as Lincoln, Roosevelt, and other great Americans in helping us move toward being a nation of equality and justice.

rev Wright and a holiday for MLK are completely unrelated and this isn't even close to a good analogy. Well maybe McCain didn't vote for MLK because he just didn't think his life deserved a federal holiday. that doesn't mean he's racist and it doesn't mean he doesn't see the value in what MLK did. And for "listeners" question, maybe you should replace that with bigoted followers. there are many listeners who don't even like him. And your last question is too vague to answer. Give some examples. You are all over the place with your logic. What makes Hannity racist anyway? give an example. just don't say he doesn't kiss the black races's ***.
