so if 8 is central, what time would that be in Canada (the show) 8 or 9??? i still dont understand

9 oclock is eastern time, 8 oclock is central time. if a show is on at 9:00 Eastern time it will still be on at the same time in the central time zone but due to the time change, central is an hour earlier.. in this case 8:00 am/pm. if you are in the mountain time zone and it says that a show is on at 9/8 Central... take an hour off the central time to figure out what time it is in Mountain time zone.
a little hint to help you figure out which time zone you are in, in Canada
BC is in the pacific time zone
Alberta + Saskatchewan is in the Mountain time zone
Manitoba is in the Central time zone
Ontario and Quebec is in the Eastern Time Zone
New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and PEI is in the Atlantic Time zone
Newfoundland has its own time zone
