Here is an article about the youngest in recent times -- a 16 year old girl at Drexel University. I imagine that there have been younger PhDs in the past.

I am on the other end of the spectrum -- I got mine just before turning 49.

A fictional personality. Years in the past (even as the teach grow to be regular), I went the urgent care medical institution. The record who talked about me appeared very youthful. I made some remark about Doogie Howser that i presumed grow to be humorous....he did not!
