Two weeks before Christmas, my neighbor who is 37, mentally challenged, lost his father last year, strapped for money and his mom is an alcoholic was waiting outside to see Santa on the fire engine. When Santa came around the corner and waved his face lit up and skipped into the house. I knew Christmas wasn't going to be like Christmas at my house. So, my mom and I went to the store and bought NY Yankees sweatshirt for him and a house robe for his mom. We wrapped them up and signed them from Santa. We put them in a big Christmas bag and placed a large tray of cookies and a Christmas blanket in also. Then on Christmas Eve at 1 am we took my dog for a walk and dropped them off at their walkway to the door. They have no idea who did it. I wish I was able to see their expression. I just hope it brightened their Christmas and made them believe! This is something I want to do again...it felt so right!

I do things anonymously... Helping out families or individuals with them even knowing makes me smile and my life grand.

I have never revealed my identity to those I have helped and I will continue to be that secret good Samaritan.

i just make it a point to be a good listener. you would be surprised how many people jst want someone to listen to them, not give them advice, but just sit and listen to let them get whatever they want off their chest.

Trust me, when it comes to others, being positive, kind, and forgiving is more than enough.
