a million dollars deposited in your account with instructions that you had to spend all of the money that same day because the next day whatever is left will automatically be debited, how would you spend it and why?

All of your answers are good but my reaction would be to withdraw the money from that account and open another to deposit it in. That way the money is gone, spent, from the initial account and I still have it to do what i want, whenever i want, to do with it.

Put money in escrow for my house, buy a few new cars and any other big-ticket items that are easily sold later for $$, insurance for all of the above, put away a percentage of that money to pay taxes on the new toys and then have the balance transferred to a non-profit organization at the end of the day.
I don't believe I could spend a lot of it within a regular business day, so that's what I'd do!

First, I would buy a house for myself on the Cape, nothing too big. A second house in the Berkshires with lots of woods to explore. A condo in Sedona. A car good on mileage. An RV to explore the U.S. in.
I think I probably overspended by now....

i would buy a new house for my family to live in 300,000 dolars would be fine. 200,000 would go to my daughters college fund. 100,000 for 2 new vehicles for my husband and I, he wants a truck and I want an SUV. 100,000 to his parents, 100,000 to my mom. And the other 200,000 would be ours to spend on what ever we wanted. Clothes, landscaping crap (his) toys for my daughter. Lavish dinner. And then we would take some of that 200,000 and spend a night in the best resort i could possibly find here in NH, shouldnt be too expensive lol.

I would pay all my bills off, mortgage included. And let the rest be debited back. If I could just get a little break, I could make it myself the rest of the way.

I would donate most of it to Autism research, put some in the bank for my son's college education, then buy myself 1967, 1968 & 1969 Camaro SS's.

I would buy one really nice house for my family & I to live in and a couple of lower range ones to rent out to people, then the rent money would be my income and I wouldn't have to work anymore.

I would buy my Mother a house that she wouldn't have to worry about any kind of problems needing to be fixed, (like water leaks, sewage problems, electrical, or roofing). I would buy me a house, a car, pay off all my bills, my family's bills, buy my husband a new truck, and my niece a car.
