I use to have an AOL account but I now have an Aim address. With AOL I had spamgurad and firewall protection. I want to know how I can get firewall protection for my computer. I'm not sure if I still have it or not. Thanks alot...

If you have AOl you still have the firewall installed and you are just asking for trouble with 2 firewall.
use your windows firewall in XP

Free Zone Alarm firewall. Go to Control Panel, Add/Remove, and remove the firewall on your computer first. You can only run one firewall at a time. I've been using the free zone alarm for a couple years now and have had no problem. I have version 6.1, I think they are on 6.5

Go to the website at the below link and then download and install the free version of Zone Alarm. It's much better than the Windows firewall.

if you are using Windows XP and not get a message about the firewall every time you start up your pc, then you have a working firewall.

i would get zonealarm
www.zonelabs.com
its free or has a paid version (anti-virus etc..)
i would avoid windows firewall
