If I feel my ribcage, the bottom in the middle sort of comes out to a point right above my heart. Is that normal or is it supposed to be flat?

The point is normal. If you didn't have the point, then I'd be worried.

That pointy thingy in the middle of the ribs is called the xiphoid process. It is fused to the sternum and is indirectly attached to costal cartilage.
