No, there's nothing odd about it. I think many kids benefit from having a parent at home all the time, be it mother or father. My mom stayed home with me and my brothers and it was great. As she always said, she had a full time job. She just didn't earn a salary for it.

No way! If her husband is able to provide financial for the both of them & the kids, then the wife can stay home and can take care of business (cooking, cleaning the home, getting the kids ready for school). A homemaker is a very dignified & noble job. This job is a 24 hour deal.

i think of that judgement call would desire to be made between the two human beings in contact and how which will impression their financial lives. From some thoughts I even have seen on 60 minutes and Primetime, that's actual particularly ordinary to nonetheless stay this manner as long simply by fact the couple isn't attempting to stay exterior of their potential, or considered one of them makes better than sufficient money to be the only financial help. And confident there are nonetheless women, and adult men, who stay abode and have never worked an afternoon of their lives. i'm not considered one of them, yet i be responsive to some people who greater healthful the profile.

I ama homemaker becuase I have children. I enjoy it and have gotten in to canning and cooking and such and my husband likes it because he knows I'm taking care of the house and kids and don't have to work. Between gas and childcare costs it's cheaper for me to stay home then work.

it's not odd at all, i personally don't do it now but i will be once we have children. i believe that a mother /wife is the rock that holds the family together and besides there are so many things you can do at home, if you do want to work but be at home there are jobs you can do and you don't have to leave your home, if you need the money and want to earn some.

No - if that is what she wants to do.
The whole equality debate was to level the playing field and enable a woman to peruse her dreams. If a homemaker is HER dream - more power to her.

Not at all. But there IS pressure from a few misled Women's groups that feel women need to get out of the household to achieve equality.
Personally, I have no qualms about working at home. My career field would allow me it.

i think it will be easier for people to live the life if they have the life (which is like have some job to do). but if you consider taking care of your children and focusing only to them, the housework and making cookies are the most important thing in your life, goes on. Your life is yours,.
