In my band, we do some kind of activity for the band as a whole during each night of band camp. as an icebreaker, we have each section make up a funny skit for skit night, so it gets everyone to talk and collaborate, and skit night is always a lot of fun. The best skit earns the winning section the right to come in to practice at 12:00 instead of 9:00am the next day.

there r a couple of traditions i guess u would call them in my band some i dont really follow. after every competition they go to Denny's... dont go there. at the last practice ever class does the field show first freshman which sucked then sophmores junior and seniors. um other traditions um... initiations for freshman... lets see...hmm well usually at the end of band camp they throw us in the pool,but our pool was being worked on and we couldn't do that.

It really depends what marching band you are in. Some just let you in. Others make you try out. Some get you in and them make you miserable for your first year and respect you for the rest. It all depends.

we are nice to everyone no matter if your a freshman or senior or a new person in band. also what we do is after every game we always go to a waffle house don't know why but we always do
